The Virus Intercepted message displays when real-time protection has performed some action with an infection.
The Virus Intercepted message displays to inform you that real-time protection has performed some action with a detected infection. You can also view information about the infection.
Click OK to close the window or to close the current alert.
Note: Where several alerts show (for instance,
one infection may also generate an Infection
Blocked message), you can click the Previous and Next arrows to view
each of the alerts.
Where there is more than one alert, click OK to close the current alert or click Close all alerts to close the window.
How do I turn off "Virus Intercepted" messages?
Click Show details to show information about the detected infection. The following displays:
Infected object. Shows the location and file name of the infection.
Infection name. Shows the name of the infection. Click the name to open a Web page that provides additional information about the infection.
Action taken. Shows the action that iolo AntiVirus took. One of the following options display:
Disinfected. The infected file was cleaned.
Quarantined. The infected file was quarantined. (More on quarantines.)
Deleted. The infected file was deleted.
Renamed. The infected file was renamed to end in INFECTED, so that it is no longer ending with an executable extension.
Notes. Shows security tips and advice.
Select the Don't show these messages anymore check box to turn off future messages.
Note: Selecting this
option turns of all Virus Intercepted messages, not just the messages
for the current virus.
